Question 1

How does the Rocket X 3 feel when running?

Accepted Answer

The Rocket X 3 feels fast and propulsive. The PEBA foam gives spring and energy return, while the carbon plate creates a clear forward roll. It’s ideal for races and tempo sessions when you want to hold a high pace.

Question 2

How does it differ from the previous model?

Accepted Answer

The new carbon plate with winged fins provides better support and stability without dulling the forward-driving sensation. Grip is also improved with stickier rubber under the outsole.

Question 3

Is it suitable for wide feet?

Accepted Answer

The shoe is designed on a race-focused, narrower last. If you have a wide forefoot I recommend trying them in-store or considering a model with a roomier volume.

Question 4

What distances is the Rocket X 3 best for?

Accepted Answer

Primarily half-marathon and marathon for runners chasing personal bests, but it also performs excellently on fast tempo and interval sessions.

Question 5

Is the Rocket X 3 stable enough?

Accepted Answer

Despite a low profile and aggressive rocker, I find the shoe stable thanks to the carbon plate and dual-density foam that provide support underfoot.
